USO Volunteer Awarded Fort Sill Youth Volunteer of the Year
Fort Sill leaders came together on April 17, 2025, to recognize outstanding volunteers in the Fort Sill community from various demographics. A Fort Sill Service Member Volunteer of the Year, Spouse Volunteer of the Year, and Youth Volunteer of the Year were all selected from multiple nominees in each category with one winner in each group.
The USO team in Oklahoma was thrilled when USO Volunteer Miss Rhylee Bennett won the Fort Sill Youth Volunteer of the year. Rhylee chooses to volunteer at the USO with her family. You can see her at the Center on a weekly basis greeting guests at the front desk and helping set up our many youth programs. With over 200 hours in under a year, she is a super star for her age group!
When asked what volunteering means to Rhylee, she said “I like it because I like it when people smile and it makes me happy to see them smile because it means I feel like I’m doing a very good job at it. And, I also like it because I feel like I’m a part of something very big.”
