A Creative Celebration: Kids Craft Camp at Fort Sill and Altus AFB

This summer, creativity took center stage as over four hundred children and families gathered at Fort Sill and Altus Air Force Base for our annual Kids Craft Camp. The event was a vibrant celebration of imagination, community, and artistic expression.
Participants explored a variety of hands-on art activities, including painting, sculpture, and the intricate beauty of Mogol art. Each station offered a unique opportunity for kids to express themselves, learn new techniques, and take pride in their creations.
The highlight of the camp came when selected artworks were chosen for a special honor: a public exhibition at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art during Military Appreciation Weekend. Seeing their work displayed in a professional gallery setting was a moment of pride and inspiration for many young artists and their families.
The success of this year’s camp reflects the power of art to bring people together and celebrate the talents of our military-connected youth. We are grateful to everyone who participated, volunteered, and supported this unforgettable experience.
