Meet Nala and Emmy
USO Volunteer, Lori, shares Nala with service members
"Emmy" enjoying pets from two military children at the USO on Fort Sill
Meet Nala and Emmy! Nala is a very happy labradoodle and Emmy is a “smiling” huskie. They are two therapy dogs participating in our USO Canine Program at the USO on Fort Sill. During the weekly lunch on Sept 7th, smiles brightened the faces of 30 guests as they petted and hugged these two lovable dogs. Comments heard included, “ Oooh, I love dogs!”, “This is great!”, and “I need a moment to enjoy these dogs”. Through this program, USO Oklahoma was able to give a moment of relaxation and comfort to service members in the middle of their duty day by connecting them to the comfort of a dog.
