Sweets For Your Sweetheart!

On Sunday, volunteer Jonathan came in to teach our service members and their families how to make different types of chocolates for Valentine’s Day! We learned how to make fondant, cherry cordials, thin mints and chocolate covered marshmallows. Folks settled in before learning how to easily melt chocolate, flavor and scent fondant, properly dip both cherries and marshmallows, and how to properly refrigerate them so they solidify properly… Unless you just choose to go the chocolate fondue route and not solidify them at all! A few licked elbows, jars of cherries and bags of chocolates later, we sent everyone off with their treats!
Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone!
